The official opening of the Traditional Karate Academy in Warsaw took place on 4 March 2006. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Sports, the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Poland and the Traditional Karate Federation of Poland as well as by the athletes. Academy in Warsaw is one of the most modern centres to practise martial arts in the world. It consists of the following areas: a dojo, a gym, social rooms, changing rooms, sanitary rooms, an office, conference room, a reception desk and a small caffeteria.
Traditional Karate Academy in Warsaw is used by the national team of Poland for preparation to the most important national and international tournaments. However, it is also available to anyone interested in traditional karate training. Thus, the academy is open not only to the titled athetes, but also to regular students who can practise in different groups of advancement, generally for all citizens of Warsaw.
