On 31 May Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Poland – Ryuichi Tanabe visited the Japanese Martial Arts and Sports Centre "Dojo-Stara Wies" in Stara Wies.

Senator Hirofumi Nakasone with the official visit in the Ministry of Sport and Turism of the Republic of Poland
On 7 July 2008 Minister of Sport and Tourism Mr. Miroslaw Drzewiecki hosted Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone - Japanese Senator, Chairman of the Parliamentary Polish - Japanese Group, former Minister of Education, Science, Sport and Culture. The appointment took place at the seat of the Minsitry in Warsaw.
